An exiting PoJos adventure! Date night in Boise.

the carousel As a Friday night treat Andrew took me out to PoJos which was one of our very first dates. I myself was really excited to go back, because unlike Chucky Cheese teenagers and adults can also look cool playing the arcade games and bumper cars.

When we arrived we got a ticket for the carousel, which I had never recalled being on one and I kind of had to beg Andrew to let me go on the one they had, and twenty tokens because I totally love playing the games that give out tickets. Sure the prizes can be bought cheaper elsewhere, but actually winning them is much more fun.
air hockey table
The first game we played was air hockey which Andrew quickly beat me at two times in a row. I didn’t take well to losing and tried not to throw a fit; though I did stomp my feet. We figured we could go back later and hopefully, I thought, I could finally beat him.
ddr that i could've beat andrew at.
The game that I definitely would have beaten him at was Dance Dance Revolution, but he didn’t want to play at all. So instead I showed him how good I was, thanks to my mad skills from years of practice on my friend’s DDR for the X-Box.

We, or Andrew to be more precise, decided that it wouldn’t be worth it to get tickets and a prize, but instead go to chocolate machine and get around five pieces of candy for around two dollars. We did get a huge orange gum ball after figuring out the machine didn’t work because the ball was supposed to be suctioned up if the thing landed on the gum ball. So basically after four tries of it not working we asked a person to fix the machine so they gave us one. The only downside was that it was hard as a rock to bit into and it ran out of flavor fast.
old school pac man machine
The most fun part was the arcade section. We had a plethora of games to choose from, from old school Pac Man and Time Crisis Two that Andrew was too afraid to play because it looked too hard. Andrew played a quick game that kind of emulated Gattaca, which lasted about five minutes before he died.

point blank 2 i didn't do so well but andrew won
But, I found the coolest shooter game ever; Point Blank 2. I wasn’t very good but for a quarter it lasted a good twenty minutes till I finally died. It was the first shooter game I had ever played, basically because I’m not a hardcore gamer like Andrew. Andrew did try it out and it was like the never-ending game. He beat every level until he tragically ran out of lives. By that time I was jumping up and down in joy.
me on the carousel
I had waited all the time for kids to start riding the carousel so I wouldn’t be alone. But when none came I finally gave up and asked for them to start it. The guy who operated the carousel was amused I wanted to ride and even let Andrew get a free pass. Lucky for us a little girl even hopped on so we weren’t so alone. I picked a cat with a fish in its mouth because I dislike horses. The ride was everything I had ever dreamed, yes when I was six I dreamt about a carousel; but not more. It could have been a tad bit faster.

After that ride we decided to play another round of air hockey. I was disappointed Andrew won the first game, but the final one I beat him by a landslide. He kind of accused me of cheating, but I really didn’t have a chance or the reflexes to stop the puck from scoring him a point; so yeah I used my hands which for Andrew is cheating. But I was so excited I won the last game that we went to another candy machine that basically moves the candy and I won a smarty; Andrew won nothing therefore we could go home with everything a tie.
